Practising with Family and Friends

Whilst learning to drive it can be helpful to practice with family or friends. This can have serious pitfalls and you need to make sure that you are driving within the law. Your supervising driver must be over 21 years old and must have held a FULL driving licence for the type of vehicle that you are driving for a minimum of three years. You will need to have suitable insurance cover and be aware of other rules that apply. A useful fact sheet is available on the Downloads page of this website.
